A benefit dinner for Blue Mountain Land Trust and Hayshaker Farm
Join us for a dinner at Passatempo Taverna on Thursday, October 16 for a meaningful evening to support the Blue Mountain Land Trust (BMLT) and the recent farmland property purchase that saved Hayshaker Farm.
Hear from Hayshaker Farm owner Chandler Briggs and staff Theo Ciszewski about the growing challenges first-generation farmers face, and what it means to our own community that BMLT stepped up to purchase the property, saving the farm and the driving force behind the Walla Walla Food Hub. Guests will learn from BMLT executive director Amanda “Marti” Martino about the challenges and opportunities BMLT encounters when protecting important natural resources, like productive farmland. Hear about how BMLT is working to support local food systems that improve community resiliency and how your support can help us to keep farmland in production.
This event will bring us together for a night to reflect on the importance of local food, and the protection of the lands and waters of the Blue Mountain region for people, agriculture, and wildlife. Register for this event today and enjoy the company of other community members while indulging in a wonderful meal, great local Walla Walla wines, a silent auction, and an inspiring opportunity to support BMLT’s programs and mission-driven work.
Tickets to Food and Farms Forever are $150 and now available!
Enjoy an inspired menu from the kitchen of executive chef Sam Shelton, featuring produce from Hayshaker Farm.
